Working together to provide compassionate patient care.

Working together to provide compassionate patient care.

Over the weekend our Kouga branch received a call for a paediatric patient that needed to be transferred to a medical facility in Cape Town. Our team quickly mobilised and soon the little boy and his family were on their way to the Western Cape.

While taking a quick break for the family to stretch their legs in George, an ER24 crew stopped to greet our crews. One of the paramedics from ER24, Leslie-Anne, runs a community knitting project called Comfort Critters and happened to have a soft toy with her. The rest of the journey continued smoothly and their little patient had a bit of extra comfort along the way.

Our team arrived safely in the Cape and their patient was handed over to doctors who continued to provide compassionate care. Well done to our amazing team, Alex Labuschagne and Ruzain Maziena! It is always encouraging to see healthcare workers across the country working together to ensure their patients receive the best care possible.
