Sunshine Coast Charity

For more than a year Gardmed Port Elizabeth has been contributing to the Sunshine Coast Charity Trust, a non-profitable organisation that has been making toiletry packs up for roughly 60 under privileged girls and
boys of Alexandria. These kids are taken care of and fed after school and are
assisted with homework and any social care work that may be needed until
they go home. In September we had the opportunity to visit the opening of Ikhaya Le Themba
in Alexandria, which is the organisations 3rd property that they moved to due to
the increasing number of kids including many other difficulties they overcame.
They have started with minor renovations such as painting and building but had to
stop and wait for more funds to come through to complete pending jobs. An important factor regarding the funding of Ikhaya Le Themba is that they are a non-government funded organisation, this means that they fully rely on the handful of donors and the 3-4 annual events they run to bring in their funding making what we donate so crucial and needed. Gardmed is proud to make a monthly contribution to this worthy cause.
